Pyrometers for the glass industry

Temperature is one of the elementary control variables for monitoring and optimising the energy-intensive glass melting processes. In the glass forming process, too, the determination of the glass temperature is a process-critical measured variable.
Pyrometers are ideally suited for this purpose, as they measure the temperature without contact and wear-free from a safe distance in milliseconds.

The measuring systems, which are required to measure the temperature of the vault, the glass tank, the gob, the finished product or in the feeder, are as varied as the measuring points.
