Name: Nicole Albers

Job position: Industrial management assistant

Working at KELLER HCW since 2012

"Most of all I like the good working atmosphere. I enjoy going to work."

How did you come to work at KELLER HCW?

I wanted to make an apprenticeship for a commercial job. From a relative of mine who also works at KELLER I only heard positive comments.

I then looked up their website and the information I got there sounded very promising. So I applied for an apprenticeship and at the job interview I already felt very comfortable. In any case, it was the right decision to start here, I never regretted it.

What makes KELLER HCW an attractive employer?

Most of all I like the good working atmosphere. I enjoy going to work, the atmosphere here is always good. I also appreciate the confidence that is placed in me. You are allowed to work independently; already during your apprenticeship your colleagues entrust you with tasks and responsibilities.

A good thing is that I am also relatively free to arrange my working hours and my working day within a given framework.

What do you like most about your job?

After my apprenticeship I first worked in marketing. For some years now, I have been working in the logistics department.
I particularly like the variety in my job, always new projects and tasks, it never gets boring.
I am also enthusiastic about planning, estimating and organizing our transports.
This starts nationally with a small cardboard box and ends with a shipment worldwide.
The technical aspect should not be ignored either, I had no contact with it before and it is very interesting to see how our plants are composed.

"We are not just putting things together; we have to use our brains as well.“

How did you come to work at KELLER HCW?

I worked at another company for ten years. Unfortunately, the company faced closure; therefore, I wanted to get away as soon as possible. So I registered at the employment office and they advised me of a job opportunity at KELLER HCW. Here I am now being perfectly happy.

What makes KELLER HCW an attractive employer?

Compared with my previous company, my workplace is much neater and more pleasant. I was well received in my new team. My training phase was also very intense. All my colleagues taught me a lot and they were very open-minded towards me..

What do you like most about your job?

The large number of various machines and installations makes my job very versatile.

No machine is like the other. In addition, I can work independently here. We are not just putting things together but we have to use our brains as well. This makes my job interesting and full of variety.

Name: Rainer Hüsing

Job position: Process engineeer

Working at KELLER HCW since 1997

"Good team work guarantees an effective consolidation of processes where new ideas are born and successfully implemented afterwards."

How did you come to work at KELLER HCW?

After finishing school I first made an apprenticeship as a cutting machine operator. Then I studied mechanical engineering with emphasis on heat transfer technology and fluid mechanics at the University of Applied Sciences in Osnabrück. After my graduation I started my career at KELLER HCW.

What makes KELLER HCW an attractive employer?

Due to a wide range of customers' orders and R&D projects I am always facing new challenges. This makes my work very interesting and diverse; dull moments are practically inexistent. As KELLER operates internationally, you get the chance to encounter new countries and cultures.

What do you like most about your job?

The range of tasks of a process engineer at KELLER HCW is very diverse. In a brick plant, process engineering is only one of many building blocks. Mechanics, robotics, electrical engineering, automation technology and of course ceramics play a major role as well. There are of course multiple interfaces between these areas and this implies that close cooperation is a vital factor. You are often in touch with other departments in the company, such as purchasing, quality assurance or project management.

When a new plant is built and put into operation, a process engineer is usually temporarily on site to assist the field service staff. This offers the opportunity to see my previously created layout and my own design work taking shape and developing into the real thing.

We at KELLER are very good team workers, guaranteeing an effective consolidation of processes where new ideas are born and successfully implemented afterwards.

All in all, my job covers a wide range of activities which makes it exciting and versatile.

Name: Sergej Kunkel

Job position: Design technician in the mechanical design department

Working at KELLER HCW since 2008

"What I like most is the creativity and the diversity that comes with my job.“

How did you come to work at KELLER HCW?

After finishing my training as a certified technician, I started working with the service agency Ferchau Engineering to get experience through working at several companies.  The first position I was assigned to was at KELLER HCW. I very much enjoyed working at Keller and, after half a year, I decided to stay with Keller.  It was not important to me anymore to get to know other companies and projects. Keller is a place where I feel really comfortable.

What makes KELLER HCW an attractive employer?

A big asset here at Keller is the large scope and the variety of tasks. Time and again there are tasks that I did not solve before in this way. The work is neither monotonous nor boring.

What is special at Keller is that it has its own workshop where the designed modules are manufactured and assembled. It is a great feeling to see the modules that I designed standing there assembled in the workshop. And you still have the chance to make improvements then, if needed.

What do you like most about your job?

What I like most is the creativity and the diversity that comes with my job.

Here I have the opportunity to develop my creativity and to contribute my own ideas to a design.
