Die KELLER ICS Standard grinding machine
The KELLER ICS standard grinding machine for use as a standard solution for grinding widths from 219 – 249 mm and for single and double layer grinding of bricks. With this grinding machine, grinding speeds of 15 m/min. max. can be achieved. It is characterized by its high technical availability and ease of maintenance.
Characteristics
The drives of both the transport system and the grinding units are frequency-controlled.
The specially developed system for transporting bricks through the grinding machine consists of V-belt guided conveyor belts which offer essential advantages in regard to wear and functional reliability.
The base frame
The stable base frame, with its large mass and the use of vibration dampers, ensures that the machine runs quietly.
The centring device
Two separately driven lateral feed belts centre and transfer the bricks to the grinding machine transport system. The feed belts automatically adapt symmetrically to the incoming brick.
The transport system
The well-proven, low-wear transport system guarantees a precise guide for the in-flow of the bricks. The elastic support of the lower conveyor belt compensates for any unevenness of the bricks. The design of the upper transport system is identical to that of the lower one. The height adjustment of the upper transport belt is achieved by means of a motorized spindle. Pneumatic cylinders and the elastic support of the transport belts balance out the height tolerances of the bricks. The contact pressure is finitely adjustable.
The grinding units
The four grinding units, with the 30 kW drives, are dimensioned for the 650 mm diameter grinding tools and therefore have a stable design. To compensate for the grinding tool wear, the grinding units are positioned precisely via servo drives.
The measuring system
The positioning of the grinding tools is effected via a special patented measuring system, specially developed for this purpose. The measured values are not determined at the outgoing brick, but at the tool. This method ensures a very high accuracy of the weardependent readjustment and a simple adjustment of the grinding size.
