(Nearly) half a lifetime with KELLER HCW
[November 2010] In the course of a small ceremony Laurenz Averbeck, the managing director of KELLER HCW, celebrated his 25th anniversary with the company. On November 1, 1985, he started his professional career as a design and sales engineer with the renowned machine and plant manufacturer in Laggenbeck. After many successful years as a general sales manager, Laurenz Averbeck, who is now 53 years old, has been a member of the KELLER HCW board of directors since 2007.
Among the large number of congratulators were the by now retired KELLER veterans Gerd Grabowski and Alfons and Werner Hövelmeyer – the latter celebrated his 50-year-anniversary with the company in 2009. "I certainly will not hold on to KELLER HCW that long", Laurenz Averbeck grinned, "but those who know me, also know that I love the company as much as my job and that I am still busy making plans as to what we should achieve together in the coming years. It is not without a reason that we are the number one in the field of machinery and plants for the heavy clay industry – and it shall stay this way!"
This straightforward and consequent attitude is appreciated by customers, suppliers and employees alike. "When it is a matter of how to achieve goals, he can be a real tough guy", Wolfgang Brunk, head of Marketing and PR characterises his boss. "But exactly this perseverance, his reliability and commitment are properties that are convincing. In my professional life I only met a few people who represented and shaped their company in such an authentic and lasting way as he did."
