First-time attendance of KELLER HCW at the Encontro Nacional in Brazil
[August 2010] KELLER HCW general sales manager Ulrich Hagemann rates the first-time attendance at the Encontro Nacional in Florianopolis, Brazil, as quite succesful.
"Our product offers, ranging from preparation to packaging, were met with great interest by the visitors of the Encontro Nacional. Though I do not expect us to receive orders for complete turn-key-plants in the foreseeable future, I nevertheless am quite sure that we might receive a few orders for single components", Hagemann, who had attended the fair in Florianopolis, states. "Brazilian companies do already have a great share in business branches such as the aerospace industry. Especially the company Embraer should be mentioned in this context. Brazilians are proud of this achievement – and you can feel that pride everywhere. On the other hand, Latin America’s building industry, especially the heavy clay sector, is still dragging behind this development. Stand visitors have stated though, that they are open for new ideas and ready to accept the fact that modernizations are more than necessary. For this reason, I would say that our attendance at the fair has been quite successful. We have made our brand names KELLER HCW, novoceric, morando and Rieter known and were able to convince with our technology – I think we have made quite a good entrance to a market that is completely new for us."
David Martin Bernardo, who represents the four companies in Spain, Portugal and Latin America, shares this opinion: "Our stand was very busy throughout the three fair days with participants who were very interested in our exhibited state-of-the-art and fully automatic technology. That is why I am more than convinced that we may soon be rewarded with first orders for machinery or modernization concepts for already existing plants."
