Alfons Hövelmeyer enters into well-earned retirement
[July 2009] Alfons Hövelmeyer, from the Teutohang in Ibbenbüren, now enters into the well-earned retirement, after 35 years of service for firm KELLER, Laggenbeck. After many years of education in Ibbenbüren, Tecklenburg and Saerbeck and after obtaining a degree of the Technikerschule, Osnabrück, he started his career at the former firm C. Keller & Co. where he was employed in the project and sales department for ceramic machines. Even after a short period, he was specialised for Eastern Europe and operated as Area Sales Manager. Firstly he travelled to the USSR, nowadays called Russia but also to many other Eastern European countries as well as to those countries which are today independent and were founded from the former USSR.
From these regions, Mr. Hövelmeyer received many large and important orders for the firm. And that’s not all; he also brought his wife Olga with him from Russia – even long before the fall of the "Iron Curtain", after he had become far too early a widower.
The retiree now is looking forward to being at home in his house and garden and being able to spend much time for his children and grandchildren now. The management of KELLER HCW thanks very much the Area Sales Manager, Mr. Alfons Hövelmeyer for his activity in the firm for so many years. He had been seen off in style of today’s and former colleagues during a ceremony.
