KELLER HCW and Rieter-Werke implement the reconstruction of the shaping plant in the "OAO Altair" brick plant, Ishewsk, Russia

[January 2009] Together with "OAO Altair" Ishewsk, Republic of Udmurtia in the Russian Federation, KELLER HCW and Rieter-Werke will implement the reconstruction of the shaping line in the existing brick plant.

Not only are first class weapons such as hunting guns, sporting guns and the automatic rifle, named after its inventor Mr Kalashnikov, produced in Ishewsk, but also first-class facing bricks.
In the "OAO Altair" plant, which was built in 1990/91 from Bulgaria under licence to KELLER HCW, 30 million NF (standard sized bricks) / year with a working time of "24/7" are produced today.
In order to improve the quality, to increase the output and plant safety and last but not least to reduce the working time, a contract was agreed between "OAO Altair" and KELLER HCW to replace the existing extruder, the multi-wire cutter and the automatic pallet loader.

The new extruder, which will be delivered by Rieter-Werke, Constance, is equipped with automatic humidity control and with frequency-controlled drive.
It is therefore guaranteed that the clay column is fed to the subsequent universal cutter with uniform plasticity and speed as well as low stress. The electronically controlled universal cutter is equipped with a chamfering device for chamfering products on 4 sides. Cutting of products is done out of a continuous clay column with no waste.
To take over the cut products and transfer them onto pallets, KELLER HCW will deliver an automatic pallet loader with lateral pallet inlet. A spare parts pack, which will be delivered for the afore mentioned machinery, will guarantee regular operation for at least two years after commissioning. Furthermore, remote maintenance in the machinery area by a Teleservice system will guarantee the plant safety.

Delivery will take place in May 2009 followed by erection and commissioning which will be done by the operational staff of "OAO Altair" under the instruction of KELLER HCW specialists.
