Inauguration of facing brick plant ZAO "Pawlowskaja Keramika"
[April 2008] The ceremonial opening of the plant was celebrated on April 24, 2008 in bright sunshine under Russia’s vaulted skies in Pawlosky Posad, Russia, in the presence of representatives of the regional administration and of the financing bank, Sberbank, as well as further invited guests of honour from different areas and a large media presence. Leading representatives of Russian politics emphasised clearly in their speeches the great technical progress that had been achieved at this site and the huge meaning this modern brick plant has for the employees and specialists, as well as for the town and surrounding region.
In its first stage of construction the brick plant was designed for a yearly output of 60 million high quality facing bricks according to GOST 530-2007 and through further investment could be increased up to a yearly output of 75 million. Thereby, the 100 year old tradition of manufacturing heavy clay products at this site could remain competitive. The Chairman of KELLER HCW, Jean-Jacques Wagner, and the Managing Director, Laurenz Averbeck, thanked the people responsible within ZAO "Pawlowskaja Keramika" for their confidence, steady dialogue, friendly cooperation and team work during the complete project stage and ordering process.
A member of the ZAO "Pawlowskaja Keramika’s" Board of Director’s, Oleg Schaparenko, reflected: the idea for the plant was born in 2003, in 2004 the project was set in concrete and in 2005 the realisation of the modern plant was started. Mr. Schaparenko thanked all who believed in us – the Russian bank and especially the Company KELLER HCW.
In his speech, the General Director, Harry Tränkle, underlined the individuality of this modern plant and thanked all the shareholders, all the Companies who participated in the project, and especially his employees for the excellent work.
