New roof tile plant in Vietnam
[April 2007] On April 20, 2007 a new roof tile plant, built by KELLER HCW, was inaugurated in Vietnam. The order for the plant had been placed by the Donai Brick & Tile Company, one of the leading manufacturers of clay roof tiles with its headquarters in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. It is the most modern plant of this kind in Vietnam and the fifth plant of the Vietnamese customer.
The project developed between Donai Brick & Tile Company and KELLER HCW includes preparation, shaping, machinery as well as a tunnel dryer and tunnel kiln, whereas the preparation and shaping was done by fellow affiliate Rieter-Werke. The plant is designed for an output of 22 million Vietnamese roof tiles per year.
The plant was inaugurated in the presence of KELLER HCW-managing director Jean-Jacques Wagner and project manager Peter Hinken as well as important representatives from the Vietnamese political and industrial sector. KELLER HCW thanked Donai Brick & Tile Company for the confidence placed in it and wishes the company a lot of success with its new plant.
