Promising bridge to the Middle Kingdom

KELLER HCW opens representative office in China

[November 2005] In late summer 2005, KELLER HCW officially opened a representative office in the centre of Beijing. Having built a facing brick factory near Beijing in 2003 and a large common brick factory in Yang Quan in 2005, the opening of the office is a consequential step towards an optimal support service for Chinese customers and prospective buyers.

As a worldwide operating plant and machine manufacturer with headquarters in Ibbenbüren-Laggenbeck, the company has been ranking among the leading specialists in the ceramics and building material industry for over 100 years. KELLER HCW furthermore stands for intelligent solutions in automation and measurement and control technology. The company plans and realizes machines and plants for the production of all kinds of bricks and paving clinkers. As a competent partner, the specialists from Ibbenbüren-Laggenbeck are not only responsible for the whole engineering and project management, but also for the project handling, the assembly and the after-sales service. Since the end of the year 2000, KELLER HCW has been an independent company within the French CERIC-Group.

A pecularity of the plants realized by KELLER HCW in China so far is a project handling due to the strict Chinese laws, which only allow the use of very small proportions of traditional clay. By building modern plants which primarily process industrial waste such as dykite or flue ash, KELLER HCW had soon made itself a name in the Middle Kingdom.

Besides sales and project management, the main focus of the representative office will be on the purchase of components for the entire CERIC-Group. The office is run by Mrs. Linde Zhang, who has already been working for the company on the Chinese market for many years.
